Due to a change of circumstances the VERY tidy BMW I bought last year as a keeper and a future investment I'm now reluctantly putting up for sale.
This is a stunning Original car in fantastic condition throughout. Since purchasing it I've been working my way through the list of small niggles to turn a stunning car into a simply amazing example, a few tasks remain.
As it stands I'm asking what I consider to be a bargain price of £2800ono for both cars and all remaining spares. Located in Thornbury, North Bristol/South Gloucestershire.
It's a great car, well maintained and cared for all it's life. Mileage is 155k and there's loads of documentation and receipts including a collection of original sales brochures. Off the top of my head I'm not sure about the dealer stamps but I know there are quite a lot.
As I said, I fully intended keeping this car so all the recent parts have been OE quality / branded parts and no expense spared.
- New Sachs Clutch kit fitted in February
- The best 5 of the OE fit 15" BBS RZ have been selected from the two cars so all are in great condition, and I have just (last weekend) put
- 4 brand new Toyo Proxt T1-R Tyres on them, all balanced.
- A LONGLIFE Stainless steel system, including new stainless steel CAT was fitted a couple of weeks ago. This has a transferable lifetime warranty so this car will never need to have money spent on the exhaust again.
- Coolant, Brake and PAS fluid all recently refreshed
- 2 keys, 1 is the original with the push button torch (operational)
- Original dealer key fob
- Glove box torch charges and works
- New NGK plugs, HT leads and air filter
- Headlining and sunroof panel have been trimmed in light grey
- New rear brakes and discs
Car features:
- ABS
- PAS
- Electric Front windows and mirrors
- Electric sun roof
- Original BMW RDS Reverse Blaupunkt stereo is included although a Pioneer CD player is currently fitted, with the appropriate ISO plug so no damage to the original loom.
I also bought a second car for spares parts which I started to break it, and sold off some of the non essential spares to recover some of the cost, but am offering the complete (ROT FREE) shell with V5 into the deal along with the remaining parts and engine, gearbox and diff.
The breaker is another 1993 Sterling Silver but a 316i. The engine is a good runner, The car was MOTed when I bought it and I drove it home before dismantling.
The running gear has been removed so this car will need to be lifted onto a trailer or flat bed.
The bad bits of the main car:
After buying the car I discovered the petrol tank leaked when filled to the brim as the old take has split along the upper seam. This has been fine by keeping the top ups around half way. One of the main reasons I bought the breaker, a good tank is supplied from the spare car.
Also the rear end is a bit wallowy due to worn bushes, the other reason I bought the spare car.
All of the bushes have been purchased and will be included, they are OE spec Febi bushes.
The spare rear beam and trailing arms have already been removed from the spare car and are stripped ready for refurbishing.
The MOT is out in June, and there are currently only 2 service lights left on.
It is my intention to continue on and refurbish the rear beam, and treat and paint the fuel tank and filler neck etc. Also to complete an oil change and full service and get a fresh MOT on the car by may, giving a full 13 months.
But I offer it for sale as it is to gauge interest. If it is not bought quickly I will continue with this plan, and will offer it for sale for around £3500 once complete.
