Had this on the technical thread but thought I would try over here instead. Feels a little as if the days of the 15" tyre are over.... Been looking on the web, obviously but keep coming up with 4 x 4 tyres so... Any pointers to who makes and where I can get 225/60/15 and 275/55/15 tyres? Looking for a good summer tyre, with grip rather than a rock hard cheapo that will do 50,000 miles. Over too you. P.

I've just bought some 15" tyres 195/50 and their was a huge range from budget to big name. I ended up with General's at £48/tyre but plenty to choose from, try a search on blackcircles.com
edit, just checked big range of 225/60/15

north hants tyres think you'll have to settle on a 275/50/15 for the rear, plenty of choice still left for the 15in wheel, try finding 265/50/14 another common size is 295/50/15 as well, can i just add in case you've never had bfg radial t/a's before, they are absolute pants in the wet or even on slightly damp tarmac

I've never had problems sourcing 15" tyres, I've got nankang ns2 on my elite, loads of sizes available.

The challenge seems to be getting anything bigger than a 225 in 15" flavour that isn't for an SUV or 4 x 4. Really don't want too but looks like I will have to go to 17" to get the size and compound I am looking for or spend £300 + on historic Avon CR6ZZ's per corner. P.

Good post. I need to find decent tyres for the Rallyes as well. But more along the 225 to 235 size. And whitewalls would be nice but not at the general price that they sell for out there. The more I look, the more I think black walls will be a better option as there is so much chrome already., which would then compete with the whitewalls. One of them close up.

Paul, what about sourcing in the US? Would they have what you want ? If so, why not buy them there and have them brought out in a container, inside something else. Just a thought. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Just found some sellers in Germany.... Set of four Continental Summer CONTINENTAL CONTICROSSCONTACT LX 2 235/70 R15 delivered to your door £306.00 Got to be worth thinking of?
