I am looking at buying these wheels for my B5 Passat but the guy selling them does not know the offset. I have tried explaining how to find this info on the wheels but he don't seem interested. Do any of you Mercedes gurus know what offset they are going to be? Or does anyone know what model Merc they were fitted to when new? They are 18 inch and fitted with 225/40/18 tyres. That is as much as I know

It wont just be the offset, the centre bore may be different too. EG: The Merc could be 66.6 and the VW 55. something, IIRC. I'm looking for some wheels for my W126 at the moment and, to be fair, there is a huge number of different styles out there. If the seller cant be bothered sod him and buy from elsewhere.

The centre bore is no problem to overcome but I don't want spacers fitted hence wanting to know the offest. The wheels are the right price otherwise I would have dismissed them because of the half soaked seller.
