After much soul searching, I've realised it just isn't for me. I've put a deposit on a late model 924S and so my turbo is now for sale.
As soon as I saw this turbo for sale, I knew I had to have it!
It's a very faithful Carrera GT replica based on a 924 Turbo S2. Not to be confused with other replicas, this car is very close to the real thing.
During my ownership I have spent a considerable amount on improving the car, as well as adding rare parts.
My local Official Porsche Centre have spent over 40 hours on a top end rebuild, new head gasket, valve guides, the full works.
There is an overhauled dogleg gearbox fitted, it is very sweet.
The car has a new fuel pump & all new fuel lines.
Freshly painted bonnet.
It has MOT until January 2016.
There are recent reciepts for clutch, pistons etc.
The spec of the car is as follows:
924 Turbo S2
Carbon fibre composite front wings
Fibreglass front clip & rear arches
Genuine Carrera GT intercooler
Genuine Carrera GT rear bumper
Genuine Carrera GT DITC module
Unmarked scripted front sports seats
Decent replica Fuchs wheels
Excellent dash
It is showing 46k miles however the odometer has stopped. With the work that has been carried out on this car, the mechanicals are all very low mileage.
There are two niggles to sort out:
The handbrake cable snapped a few days ago
There is a wheel wobble - perhaps discs or topmounts
Rear tyres are low on tread, fronts are new.
I would like to make back the money it owes me as I still think it's a bargain when compared to a real Carrera GT. I am asking £9,000. A real Carrera GT is £50k and all you get is a slightly larger turbine housing and a VIN number. The first person to see this car will buy it. I am based just off J33 of the M4. Best way to get in touch is to PM me on here. Thanks.
(Excellent condition 3 spoke wheel included, not the Momo)
