With the last old nail I bought on disabled tax I had a right war, and had to present the paperwork to the dvla officees at chester (I couldn't face bangor). So what's the crack now ghe dvla have shut all the LO's? Do you change tax class down the post office or summat? Just a curious question
Cheers, kfw

You have to buy tax when you do it, to do that it has to have mot. I assume you must be able to sorn it instead of tax it but never tried so not sure.

I remember signing all the petitions and buying into the doom and gloom about the DVLA LOs closing but I'm pleasantly surprised at how it has worked out, the situation for me now is better than before. The PO in our village is now the DLVA LO. The extra trade seems to have done wonders for the PO and they've installed a new counter with an extra window.

I now tax my cars online, absolute piece of cake. I'm pretty sure that when I bought a car last year (Scimitar)that was on disabled tax, all i did was apply for tax online and tick the relevent boxes. I know for a fact no paperwork/proof etc had to be presented to anybody.
