So as the mg has been pretty reliable and not needed much work lately I thought I would introduce my families work horse.
It has a custom aluminium back made by Weightlifter and we believe it spent most of its life in a quarry.
Its main duties in the house hold include being thrashed while lugging all manner of rubbish around and recently we decided it was needing a little tlc. Off came the base of the bed as it was rotten to through which then caused a might of embarrassment as the Blowing exhaust that has been neglected for the past year looked like this.
The bed has snapped on one of the main rear beams so I need to track down a local aluminium welder, also the diesel tank has decided it is more suited to being a sieve than a container and then it needs general maintenance which is always lacking with my fathers vehicles.
Today I fitted the new exhaust which I got for the mighty sum of £60 from the local friendly auto factors so at least that is one less thing to think about now.
Does anyone know where I may be able to source a decent diesel tank, as eBay is only throwing up £200 ones?
