So just 3 Days until the Noble and myself go on our first epic road trip in over 7 years , a lot has gone on , 4 years racing , Time Attack champions , life changing transplant , worldwide pandemic , semi retirement blimey itβs been busy !! The trip is a 6 day blast to Stelvio , there is a group of 9 cars going , all good mates including my brother , the Noble is as ready as it ever will ! Every little job has been done including the removal of the bi-plane rear wing !! Bit less drag to help with the 2K miles we will be doing . She now boast , air con , stereo , heater , carpets and check this out β¦β¦β¦..a cup holder ππππ Power levels are a bit down on when we were racing but Iβm sure 550 bhp will be enough even if she has gained a bit of weight π± Iβm nervous and exited also a bit scared , first time I have been away from my amazing wife in a long while ! Hoping we get some sunshine , as I get older these big trips are becoming a lot less likely and driving the Noble is becoming much more of a challenge. Will post up through our trip , I think she is looking forward to it as much as I am .

Well what can I say , 7 countries in 7 days , 1900 miles , 40 hours of driving and a shed load of super unleaded ment the Alps road trip 2022 was epic !!! The Noble loved it , munching the motorway miles or bashing down and mountain pass it did not care ! 7 days of solid sunshine and high temps did not bother her at all ! We got a fantastic response wherever we went , In Europe it would seem nobody has seen a Noble . Driving through Switzerland was my favorite part the views and mountain passes where simply stunning ! I will let the photos do the rest of the talking .

So after the mammoth road trip is was back to home for 4 days then off in the Motorhome to Italy and Les Gets for some rest , the Noble was locked up and left in peace β¦β¦β¦ secretly I wished I was still out in her !! 3 weeks of sand sea and β¦β¦β¦.biking saw our batteries refreshed and back to reality ! The Noble was checked over and thankfully was none the worse for itβs 1900 mile blast across Europe !, Next trip out was to The Podium cafe for a Noble meet , great turnout with over 30 cars there . Plans are coming together for a epic engine/ecu upgrade β¦. More info to follow ππ We Dawnβs 50th We also got chance to finally celebrate Dawnβs 50th birthday , all be it Covid delayed !!

So last Sunday was a very big event , in my area there is a large car show on the meadows in Stamford , I have attended the event many times and had no luck at winning anything !!! Having spent most of last week cleaning and buffing the Noble I headed over Sunday morning tithe Show , it was a brilliant day with thousands of people attending , so much interested in the car , I always allow kids too sit in the car and give them a small poster off the car . The look on there faces is amazing and itβs great too see such enthusiasm. The competition is tough with a lot of high end sports cars including Ferrari-Lambo-Maclaren all in attendance . If Iβm honest I did not expect to win anything , the Noble has had a busy year and is showing some signs of the abuse she has taken . Some more cracks in the fiberglass , a small scuff on one of the wheels due to a high curb in Baden Baden , a graze on the roof from a piece of flying rubber at Bedford and the front splitter has had the curse word kicked out of it ππ Imaging my surprise to win βBest Sports Carβ absolutely gobsmacked to say the least !! Very proud moment !!

Of interest, which pass did you enjoy the most to drive?

To be fair I loved them all , not so much going up as I had to work the car pretty hard , but coming down β¦β¦.. blimey that was fun , the brakes and aero on the Noble are very very good so carrying speed was the challenge and I loved it !!!

Well done. I guess the Ferrari gto isn't genuine? Firstly your Noble is awesome and it is now my dream to have my car parked next to yours at some point as I think they would look great next to each other. The Ferrari isnt genuine but it is awesome. long story short its a replica but the engineering in it is impressive. it was featured on Jonny Smiths Late Brake Show channel in 2020. definitely worth a watch, as is everything else on his channel.
