Greetings all, up for grabs is my 1997 Rover 416 Tourer. I cannot emphasise enough how clean and solid this little beauty is, so i'm just going to show you some photos i took today so you can see for yourself. As you can see it's in pretty damn good shape, under the bonnet is the same... And inside the car is in the same sort of condition as the rest of the car... Even inside the boot is good... As i'm sure you'll agree, for an eighteen year old rover with 103,000 miles on the clock it's damn tidy! This isn't to say that it's without it problems, known problems are, i don't have the code for the stereo, so that doesn't go, but it all lights up, if you knew how to input a new code i reckon it would go again! The power steering is a little notchy when you start the car from cold, but as soon as you start to move it's fine, my mechanic reckons the fuel pump is a little tired, but in all honesty once your moving it's fine, lastly, the fuel pump is a little noisy, but if the stereo worked you'd never know, you only ever hear it when you're sitting in traffic with nobody else in the car. Apart from that it really is a great little car, and starts first time every time, everything seems to work as it should, and it's MOTd until the end of January 2016. I am looking for £550 for it, which i think is a bargain! I am located in Winchester, Hampshire. My telephone number is 07951751594. If anyone would like to come and have a look, please get in touch. Many thanks.

I am unsure of my return date yet, as i'm just working away from home and depending on how quickly the job is done depends how soon i'll be back home again, not really a very helpful answer i know but i can be away for anything from about a week, to about four weeks.

I would like to think that it would be worth £1000 - £1500 but Mr xbollox is right, when I bid on it I only went to £800, which I thought was probably too much, but as it looked so good I thought I'd chance it, however other bidders thought it only to be worth somewhere in the region of £500 which luckily for me is where they gave up! Having a rare car (I think there's less than 300 left on the road) is not what makes it valuable, you could have the rarest car in the world, but if no one likes it, it will have very little value. Desirability is what give a car value and of all the 400 series Rovers the estate is probably the least desirable, with the coupe probably being the most. So although this is a very nice version of the 400 series Rover, the only way it's going to make really good money is if there are two bidders who just have to have it, and I'm not sure how likely that is, but we'll have to see. In all honesty though, I'm not interested in profit, I just want to get my money back so I can carry on playing.

oooohhh, an xboll-challenge has been made. Nice tourer BTW but even a tidy 200BRM struggles to get £1500 on a good day

Like what you're doing mate, and should be enjoyable for a year if nothing else.
Nice to hear you're realistic and grounded with the values aswell, instead of trying to talk up the prices.
Whenever I have sold cars on ebay i have always started them at £1 with no reserve, and never been disappointed with what they have made (think I must've sold about 10 now over the years), with the most expensive ones both being circa 10k.
Good luck today and looking forward to seeing the replacement!

What do I know ? Looks a bargain all day to me don't think you'll see another. One for a while. Had a cheeky bid though. Hopefully the bidder will pay up and collect without any problems. Cheers Chris

Hopefully, but i'm guessing she was online when she bid, so i contacted her straight away asking when she hoped to pick it up, and she's not contacted me back. Only 7 feedbacks too... I'm not holding my breath waiting for her to get back in contact. This is why i hate selling on the bay, too many messers, still, hopefully she'll contact me tomorrow, i said in my listing that i'd need to be contacted withing 24 hours, so fingers crossed!
