Hi, Thanks for taking the time to look at this. Its an E38 BMW 730 with a private plate which stays on the car. Its low mileage just over 54k, i use it from time to time so that may increase, it has some history which backs up the mileage. MOT Aug 2015, currently taxed Its an absolute joy to drive, very smooth, quiet, strong, comfy blah blah Toys include -Electric Front seats (including headrests) drivers has 3 memory settings, Soft close boot lid, Folding mirrors, All windows electric, Cruise control, Multi function steering wheel, Sport mode, In car phone (no sim), 6 disk changer, parking sensors (not cut into bumper they're stuck onto rear plate) There is no visible rust on any arches or doors, a slight bit around the ariel is about all that i can see - it'd be an easy repair. It recently had a new fuel tank as it corroded (done by previous owner, set him back £600), he said it was common on these. There is hardly any negative points to make clear on this car - the only one that bugs me is the equalizer and built in sat nav don't work - they don't light up but at the same time do not affect the radio or cd player so i have not investigated. I'm advertising it for sale even though I'm not fussed about letting it go, every time i drive it i think i'm keeping this, but i want a cossie and theres only so many family cars a guy needs when he has no family. (Since the pics i have removed the v8 badges, none left a mark)

I love E38s, got a 728 myself and its been utterly brilliant.
Good luck with the sale, although if someone test drives it, you won't need it because they'll be smitten!

Where there any advisories on the mot anymore pictures one of the dash/satnav Hi, thanks for the message - sorry for the delayed response, i have the pictures of the dash i will upload asap. I have just dug through the paperwork for this car to find the most recent mot cert. To answer your question it had one advisory on the last test (which is valid until 07/08/15) it was "N/S/F front upper anti roll bar linkage ball joint dust cover damaged, but preventing the ingress of dirt" Why did it have to be such a long one! it had 52664 miles on at that test, its now 54500 Let me know if theres anything else you'd like to know.

Yes i was suprised how much of a good car it is in every aspect (apart from tight spaces), 4.9 metres long it'll probably be the longest car i'll ever own. Thanks for the post

I'm pretty sure it is 8 precious keepers, I will confirm when I am home.
Only bodywork issue I am aware of is slight bubbling around the base of the ariel it is in early stages of corrosion you can't poke your finger through it. Arches, wings and doors all mint I seem to think the bonnet is pretty clean too.

Love a nice E38. Mine's off the road at the moment as it broke a spring the weekend. Which then went through the tyre. Yours is a great colour, and from the corner of the pictures it also appears to have the luxury seats.(the back of the seat bends,so you can position it to contour your back. Current 728i doesn't have this, but my previous 735i did,and they were the nicest seats I have ever sat in. I think they all do that with the ashtray as well.
Good luck with the sale
Cheers
Dave

Is the equaliser you mention not working, the control display for the driver and passenger heater temperature? The climate control isnt digital on this model, its in the form of rotary controls for all the temps and and power settings, thats below the radio. Above the radio is the equaliser and navigation thing which don't power up, they have a panel that comes down to cover them up. I did photo it but it didnt come out great I'm going to use a different phone, one from the 21st century. Thanks for the comment Sinky i feel i put it cheap, there would be no offers, especially as the bmw M2 is coming out soon.

Thanks for the post Ha, my last E38 was a 750iL, 1/2 ton heavier and 6" longer, that was a real handfull. Cracking car, the fuel tank is indeed the Achilles heel on E38's so a bonus this has been done. Car phone is easy to get working with a PAYG sym inserted into the unit in the boot. Superb barge for the money GLWTS

That is a good price for a low mileage example. E38s are a truly great BMW, with impeccable build quality.
I've got a '97 735i V8 which I had as a stop gap car. Kept it for longer than I should have! Might be up for sale soon - watch this space!
GLWTS - that is surely a bargain for someone out there.
