1977 MGB GT 1800 4spd with Overdrive, First registered 1st July 1977 Flamenco Red Body with Silver / grey Interior.
Here we have my "Treasured MGB GT" I have used this car for attending major classic / MG shows and, summer fun drives for a number of years, and he always received plenty of positive comments.
Having recently been brought out of dry storage after almost 7 years, he has been lovingly recommissioned by a local specialist, and put through a strict MOT to ensure all is well.
The specialist stated that the car was a "Good Original Example" and would take little work to make concourse.
I bought the car with under 100k miles around 14 years ago, and the mileage is now showing 03650, so a genuine low mileage of 103650 in 38 years.
After recommissioning work was carried, out and a fresh MOT attained, I had the car professionally valeted, which is how you see him today.
Recommissioning work included a complete overhaul of the ignition system with parts supplied by MGB-Hive, and a full mechanical service inc a new 069 Battery.
UKH has been lovingly maintained up to the point of going into storage pending a house move and other family related "upheavals", at that time he had all his rust prevention coat inspected, removed where necessary, and re-coated.
This has proven to have lasted well, and done it's job in protecting the car's structure of the past few years. The engine bay is protected by a wax oil treatment, so gives the area a "serviceable" look but is solid and without major defect.
The history file contains receipts and information relating to extensive expenditure over the years including a comprehensive restoration by one of the earliest owners. It also contains the original owners wallet, containing original handbook, Passport to service and other rare "new owner" documents. Included is the original "Ziebart" rust proofing paperwork, and guarantee for the exhaust.
In all aspects this car is in original "Factory Specification" with no modifications beyond the original order.
As can be seen from the pictures, he is in a condition that puts him beyond "Above average" but not quite "Condition1". UKH has a few small area's of paint defects and minor surface corrosion. (NOT ROT).
He starts on the button and is still a "nice and tight" drive. A number of service spares in the form of good used items will be included in the sale, as are a pair of genuine rubber foot-well mats to help protect the carpets.
A more detailed Photographic file is available which shows UKH being brought out of storage, pre recommissioning clean, and post valeting. if you can not access this link, then please feel free to request more detailed pictures via the messaging system here and I will send them to you. A great car for summer fun or as an investment to improve upon.
The price listed is a value I have been advised is more than representative of the car, but I have included a best offer as well.
I have listed the car elsewhere, and will list as sold on here, should it sell via other media.
Thank you for reading, and I hope the new owner will have as much enjoyment out of owning this car as I have over the years.
