I don't want to ask on a racing forum cos I may get abused for even contemplating being so stupid. But:
Are my wheels going to fall off at the track? My big fat compomotive racing wheels on the Sierra sit perfectly and the wheel nuts are on, but there isn't much of the thread in the nut. I reckon once I put the nut on I got 15 turns of the spanner til they were tight. The nuts are hollow and I can see that there's a lot of space - maybe 10mm of thread and 10mm of space where the threaded stud is too short. Obviously long competition wheel studs are an option in the long term. Any opinions about the possibility of me shearing something at Brands Hatch in a few hours of track driving?
