Hello there Retro Rides.
I'm now full-time back in the UK and have parked my bum in sunny Essex, not too far from Southend on Sea (South Benfleet)
Now my good friend Jo has kindly let me keep my Coupe in her garage all the way down in Hampshire, but a 2 hour drive, £5 toll, fuel etc is really making progress on the Coupe rather slow indeed so I'm looking for somewhere closer to home.
Anyone here got anything or know of anyone?
Dry and secure with lights and power, ideally within 15 miles of Benfleet.

There are lot's of small units over on Charfleets Ind Est on Canvey. It might be worth a drive round one day and see what "To let" boards are about. My mate rents one over there for about £40 a week.

lolface have you seen anything? I passed on one recently and stopped looking because I've purchased a house with a garage but in order to extend that to how I want it the garage is going to have to go so I'll start looking for places again soon.

I'm looking for somwhere to store/work on my project cars. I'd be interested in a unit share. I suppose the more participants, the better, and in my case, the more knowledge the better!!
I'm in Eastwood, so Basildon or the same sort of distance in any direction would be great.
Very interested, as I've bought another project car, and don't have anywhere to put the thing!!

Where would be the best places to find something like we'd need? Is it a case if driving around for to let signs on estates?
How the hell do people find the old farm yard barns and the like?

Dunno if you guys would want a 4th member, but I have been looking around basildon area as well and would rather club together with a few guys rather than get some tiny place on my own! Gumtree seems a good place to look, but seems to be either single garages or fully kitted out workshops which might be overkill? |

I'd say the more the merrier. 4-5 people would be perfect, and would bring the cost down to a manageable level.
I spent to jump on the bandwagon uninvited, but what would people be willing to part with per month? I was thinking £100 would be top line for me

Gumtree isn't showing me a whole lot tbh. deanr32 from seeing other unit shares it looks like they're generally between £100-200 pm, I guess it comes down to location/access/amenities etc |

That'd be spot on. For the right place, I'd go halves at that money. I need a place pretty sharpish, as I bought another 2002, and have nowhere to store/work on it.
We could do with a show of hands on this, just so we know how many will be involved, and how many cars we each have
