Hey folks, Starting to go through my calendar to work out what I plan to visit this year. Usually I have to work out where I'm going to go to pick up some guest cars for The Gathering, but we're pretty much complete with that already (just not announced any yet ). So it leaves me a bit more free. Currently on my mental list (in no real order) Goodwood Members Meeting Ultimate Dubs Truxton Revival Volksworld Sliverstone Classic * Retro Kings* Players Classic @ Goodwood Speed into Spring at Shelsley Walsh * Retro Rides Summer Holiday* Festival Of Speed Pebble Beach (doubtful!) * Retro Rides Gathering* Ultimate Stance Yokohama Hot Rod and Custom show (hotels booked) Bloody hell, that list is slightly longer than I thought it would be... What are you planning on doing?

I never really have many planned/definites. I've booked myself to do Viva Skegvegas (aircooled vw), RRG, and The Trip Out. Will more than likely get to the Retro Kings/RR Snetterton thing, as it's only down the road.
Edit: would also like to get to Pendine very much

Two weeks at Woerthersee as usual, and maybe another European VW show too. Apart from that I'll be at as many VWDRC rounds as I can and Oulton Park whenever an interesting series catches my eye. I'll have to make decisions about anything else as and when!

Probably None, the show scene doesn't hold much interest for me anymore to many big egos, I might go to a few local fairs/ fetes with my family that have a few cars, there's a good one at allhallows in kent near my holiday home I may wander along to, but big shows? Na not for me

Ultimate Dubs Retro Show at Santa Pod Classics on The Common in Harpenden (one of the best shows of the year for me) Bug Jam
I might go to J Fest too.
That's all I've decided on so far. A lot of other shows will be the same cars, or just ones that I'm not that into.

Na not for me Agreed, there's many a good day to be had at the little shows. East Anglian Practical Classics held a show at an old US radar station about a mile from my house and it was brilliant, loads of unloved heroes and a vast collection of Warsaw Pact military stuff from vehicles to a Kalashnikov. The Weeley Show near Clacton was another belter. You could probably do 2 or 3 shows a month just round East Anglia. That said I can't miss Retro Rides at Snetterton, right result being kind of on the doorstep.

Definitely going to RRG, but my work schedule this year is pretty insane.... In the middle of a full world tour at the moment, then got a load of festivals during the summer.... Unfortunately that means I probably won't get to many other shows this year, unless I get an unexpected day off....

RRG15 and as usual I'll not see much of it but will enjoy it a lot.
VBOA at Billing
They are the only two that are definates
Any others will be fairly local and small scale as since I attended a small show at Mallory Park in 2007 static shows always leave pretty cold.

In not set order:
RRG, Thornes Park, Cholmondeley The monthly Leeds meet EuroNats Harrogate HotRods
and that is leaving a little bit of space for anything else that might crop up.

I'm also tempted to drive up for this. I grew up in Hartlebury and my folks still live there. My old man was going on about it when he was last down as he remembers going back in the day. I took SWMBO there for her birthday once. Very posh place so I love the idea of cars racing through the grounds! I'm planning on getting over to this: www.wiltonclassicsupercar.co.uk/ - as it's on my birthday weekend. Other than that, it will be the usual local shows. Culmstock Wheels is always a good one.

I've finally got myself a job in the trade, but I work with top end classics and vintage cars. So most of the VSCC rounds, classic and restoration. Retro Kings R R G - Can not wait for this one, will camp this year too. Also working here, should be a bit special www.vintage-revival.fr/?gtlang=en. Will be heading to as many local meets as possible. Walton Bridge Breakfast Club Going to be a good year show wise

I've got a ticket for this. I'm a regular at the Revival and have done FOS, but have no idea what to expect from the MM. Any pointers?

Treat it like the Revival, but with a broader timescale in terms of the cars you'll see. Also, much smaller crowds!

Dressing up Revival-style is a safe bet; failing that, jacket & tie or suit.
