A couple of years ago, there used to be a few garages about who would rent out bays with lifts and tools on an hourly rate, but most seem to have disappeared now, perhaps something to do with liability?
Anyway, I know it's not retro, but I want to service the gearbox on my 745i (E65) and access to a lift would be really handy. Can anyone help, or suggest somewhere? I'm drawing a blank on Google!

Theres ramp and wrench in Coventry who hire out lift time, I've never used them myself but a colleague at work had used them and I think he was happy www.rampandwrench.co.uk/Though saying that, I'm struggling to find a mention of lift hire on their site anymore... |

Thanks for that, but they've stopped doing lift hire now  I see on here there's a couple of people offering use of their lifts - they're in Berkshire and South Wales, but I'm tempted! |

You can use my ramp if it's a friday saturday or sunday (Goytre south Wales). No charge and its only an hour and a bit away. Its old but sturdy

Where are you exactly?
Our ramp is pretty well occupied all day every day in the week, but could probably sort something out one weekend.

Where are you exactly? Our ramp is pretty well occupied all day every day in the week, but could probably sort something out one weekend. I'm in Nuneaton (North Warks), so not too far away, but both of the options below seem very promising and a bit more local - so I'll follow those up first.
