First time posting here but I'm a frequent visiter to the forum. My beloved V70R has failed the Mot today and is beyond economical repair, so I would like to offer it for sale here as hopefully someone has the time and inclination to get it back to its former glory. It's an amazing car, and certainly one that always grabs attention with the bright paint! I think of it as quite the Jekyl and Hyde car, with the split personality of being an excellent long distance cruiser but then being able to make rapid progress at the drop of a hat. No other car I've owned has had quite the mixture of comfort and performance.

Original alloy wheels (in need of refurb)

Alarm
Aircon (working)
Electric windows
Leather interior (not leather & alacantra)
R spec aluminium interior trim
Cruise control (every car I buy from now on needs this!)
Sunroof (fully working)
previous owner has fitted a twin pipe sports exhaust
I'm sure there are other things that I've forgotten about but these seem are the main bits I remember off the top of my head.
The MOT failure only shows a failure due to a very weak parking brake, but the other faults I'm aware of are:
Front OS wheel bearing
Front tyres needs replacing
Front OS track rod
Rear OS seatbelt not functioning
Rear NS mount needs replacing
Power steering pump noisy
both headlights are near limit of brightness
On top of this there are a few other things worth mentioning:
Boot lid panel needs attaching
front NS door check strap needs replacing
electric window switch for front OS needs replacing
mesh panel of front bumper is non original
a deer ran out on me a couple of months ago and has dented bonnet & grill insert.
Scratches to NS front wing & bonnet
no service history as previous owner was planning to mail it to me
If I was in a postion to be able to store the car and work on it easily then I would get it back through the MOT, its too good to scrap so I do hope someone will buy it!
I would like £1000 ono for it Please note that it is now SORN and has no remaining MOT so will need to be collected.
It is stored in South Bedfordshire and anyone wanting to view it will be able to take it for a small test drive around the storage facility
I will be uploading photos on Tuesday when I am back with the car but waned to try and gain some interest as I need it gone.
