genuine ac cobra header tank. newly replaced engine mounts meant the tank was fouling the bonnet.
god knows the history of the part but it was obviously adapted a few times before.
i had to lower the flange by about 17mm and cut and shut the bracket and pipe to suit.
was tig brazed together by someone else. this job came back due to the pipe to header join weeping slightly.i think the brazing melted the solder at that joint so resoldered it and have thankfully heard nothing back

Think the strut tops and stiffeners were made for them. I work for a different company but pretty good guess Sherlock

As it often seems to happen almost the next job was another lot of hammer forming.
this time some roof vent covers.

Skoda Yeti track car roll cage.

removed the old cage and make/fit new 8 point cage

Had to cut the front bulkhead top panel back for engine clearance and tie in the front strut tops also.


All fabricated and tacked in by me but welded by A N Others due to my dodgy tig welding























































I know at first glance its seems a bit of an overkill for a track day car, but as i understand it its about to get its third iteration of its engine a 2.5fsi with a projected output of 950hp

not my welding!  sadly my tig needs more practice. although the other 2 guys here are good at pointy welding stick. i just do the grubby jobs or mig up the stuff with huge gaps

i was broken by the last place i worked, but this is a safe haven to get back in the groove
