Dirtrod diary - on the March

sorry for the lack of updates, layness and a gang of thieving toerags emptying our workshop slowed things down for a bit

to cut straight to question of the deadline of 28th of march - the meeting went ahead without the fwd hotrods being on the fixture list

anyway here is what i have been up to in the meantime..

in my haste to get things done i had my first oh flip moment

as abit of a diversion a bit of work was done on my brother in laws new saxo dirtrod

this neccesitated a trip to work, in the quest for some mojo (and spanners)

now everything is in place why not take it all out again?

in the last four or so hours of building (where all i had to do was fit 2 wheel nuts to each wheel - so tired ) i also helped fraser a bit with his car

here i am helping by drinking coffee while he drills holes



for some reason he prefers fruit juice to coffee



that is where the story ends for now - bedtime calls.

ps i got up too late to get 2 cars to the track so left the puma at home, which turned out to be for the best!

Highly impressive build.

The Starsky and Hutch look is kinda cool in a weird way too.

grizz I was aimimg for weird in a cool way

tbh i could have properly painted the outside in the time i spent not actually doing anything usefull, but as a stopgap to amuse/annoy the tick seemed approriate. quite a few people don't even know what starsky and hutch is - kids today don't know they are born etc etc or maybe i am showing my age

SmokeEm the chilli sauce is under the salad, had heard good things about the kebab in nan from the indian/chipshop/kebab house near to work but prefer their huge portions of chips.

best kebab locally is a 30 minute round trip minimum not including waiting, so has to be reserved for more less productive evenings

sunbeam is still on hold at the moment as hopefully i have a full season of racing in various formulas planned, and i have a voice in my head calling for a new dirtrod
