I'm selling this on behalf of a neighbour who has passed away and her family want rid of the car. This is a two lady owner (and yes, since 1997 this was owned by a true little old lady) VW Polo 1.6GL and it is in super condition.
104,000 miles, but could pass for half that, the body is in super condition, I just put it through an MOT as I wanted to keep it for my son when he returns home from his travels in Australia, but my wife has told me, enough !
Its a 5 speed manual, has alloy wheels in great condition, starts first time every time and runs really well, it drives fantastically well and sailed through the MOT with a few advisories on slight corrosion on rear brake pipe, both brake hoses have corrosion on the ferrules only, the front strut has slight movement, front tyres are starting to crack and theres some corrosion underneath, but I've had a good look and can't see anything to worry about.
It is an awesome mint green colour and the body is absolutely perfect, I polished it last week as one side had been very sun faded but some T-cut and proper polish and its as good as new.
It has central locking, alarm, immobiliser and the plipper for the remote central locking all works, the gearshift is perfect and it pulls straight and true, the clutch is heavy but not high and I think with use it will free up nicely. The engine is the 1.6L engine, strong and quiet, but quick as you like, I love the thing and if I didn't already have 5 cars, I'd be keeping this one. It has a sunroof which doesn't leak and is completely dry and the closth upholstery is in really good clean condition.
I haven't got any history unfortunately, but the last two MOT's (current one runs to Feb 16 2016), the tyres all have bags of tread and it is a genuinely lovely car to drive.
Theres so much you could do with this little car, its all there ! Tons of photos follow and a video of it running, super quiet little engine and spins like a sewing machine.
Ideally I'd like to get close to £600 for the little green machine, let me know your thoughts. I'm based in Harpenden which is 5 minutes from Junction 9 or 10 on the M1.
