Hi this ad is for my 1989 Mazda MX5 MK1. Only selling as I've put a deposit on an immaculate UK spec Mariner Blue MX5 and now need to sell this!
The car is an Eunos import, imported in 1998. I've got an extensive history file with this car that shows that is came to England in 1998 with roughly around 26,000KM on the clock. The clocks have been properly converted to miles and are now showing around 159,000. Due to the first 26,000 being in KM I would say it's at around 150,000 miles. This is perfectly normal mileage for an MX5 and this shows, it starts perfectly and runs very smoothly. It uses hardly any oil, uses no water whatsoever and the hydrulic tappets are very quiet. The car is completely structually rust free and have had it on a ramp to confirm. The sills are absoloutely fine and will not need any attention any time soon.
The car pulls well and sounds very nice, although quite loud. It has a MX5 Parts silenced decat, and a stainless steel midpipe mated to a motorbike exhaust out of the cut bumper. The car is running on fully adjustable coilovers and polybushed front anti roll bars. The wheels are BBS Style K-II Racing Line and are 15x8 ET10. The tyres are 195/50/R15 and are in good condition as pictured. The rear wheels are sitting on custom made 40mm spacers each side to make them sit flush with the bolt on rear arches. There is also a riveted on satin black rear ducktail and a custom made MK1 Golf GTI front chin spoiler.
Inside it will come with a genuine Nardi steering wheel as pictured. It will also come with a CD player but not the one shown. The heater works perfectly as it should on an MX5. Overall the interior is in good condition. Currently it is fitted with wind up windows but it only requires motors fitting to revert it to electric windows as a previous owner removed them.
Overall the car is a nice driving, head turning Eunos that I've enjoyed owning. The paint has some imperfections notably on the front lower part of the bumper and on the hard top. Originally the car was Mariner Blue and a previous owner had the whole car resprayed including the door shuts and the inside of the boot in Ford Panther black, I've still got the reciepts of this with the paint code for any future touch ups! The car has had its soft top roof removed by the previous owner so currently it is hard top only. The hard top however is worth more than a soft top fitted and will come included with the car.
I am located in Maidstone, Kent. Any questions contact Scott on 07960210538. Thanks.
