You should go in, it's a brilliant place.
Cracking news about the investment.

It's a brilliant day out and I'm really happy that they are finally getting a chunk of money to help them improve the place!
The themed days are always good but you should wait until the weekend of the 13th/14th June and go to The Brooklands Double 12. Old classics hammering it round the Mercedes Benz World track plus the hill is in use all weekend for various things. An amazing day out!

Thats amazing, I love Brooklands (so do my kids) and have been almost every year since 2001 for the auto italia day, amazing place steeped in history and the museums are brilliant one of the best places I have been to be fair.

Brilliant news. It's somewhere I've always wanted to visit but have never managed to get to.

Being only a couple of minutes away I try and get to Brooklands as often as I can...
I think it is fair to say that over the years some of the exhibits that are left outside are not really looking their best so this cash injection should help thing no end and I'm over the moon about that!
If only they hadn't chopped the track up all those years ago to get some superstores on the site things would have been even better...!!!
Anyhow, this is great news and news that ensures an important piece of British motoring history is preserved and bettered for future generations...
Cracking...!!!!!!

From the Brooklands link... This is AWESOME news. Having the hangar stuck where it is has really held back the potential of the site I reckon. It will be brilliant to have the finishing straight clear of its obstruction. Looks like there'd even be the chance for someone to get some speed up from the paddock, not be able to make the turn on to the banking and go 'over the top'. Its OK. Not everyone who did this back in the day actually died. ![](http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/images/sized/images/uploads/news/2-_Aerial_view_of_Museum_site_at_completion_of_HLF_project_comp-800x468.jpg)

Visited Brooklands in 2013, couldn't recommend it highly enough. Standing on that banking was amazing.

Great news as I think the plans will make a big difference. It's already got a nice feel to the place, and with quite a few good events, we became members a couple of years ago. A proud part of our heritage.

Try to go at least once every year, always something new to look at. If the weather's kind it can be a truly wonderful day out.

The worst affected section is the Eastern part where modern developments don't even trace the original outline. Its a great place and well worth a visit. The opening up of the start / finishing straight should really improve things.
There is a book by William Boddy (motorsport magazine) about the history of the track that is well worth reading if your interested (although it can get a little heavy at times)- some cool pics too including chitty bang bang and babs (a chitty development)
