...a tyre fitter?
I will soon be taking delivery of a new set of wheels. They're wheels that I have had my heart set on for years and will probably triple the value of the car in it's current state. Oh, and they're costing me a lot of money of course. As a result, I'm probably going to be quite protective of them and want to make sure they go somewhere good to have the tyres switched over!
I know it probably sounds a bit naff and fussy but 1) I've never had tyres fitted round here before and would welcome the opportunity to take my business to someone based upon recommendation. 2) I've had issues in the past with scratches and scrapes being left behind by the tyre fitter... and I particularly don't want that to happen on this occasion!
So, can anyone recommend somewhere to go in either Rugby or Coventry please? I will upload some wheel porn photos on Thursday once they have arrived, as a token of my gratitude. Bonus points if anyone can guess what they are before I disclose it (they're going on a Hillman Imp, that's all I'll tell you)....
Thank you!

Not my parish I'm afraid. But I hope you find someone good. Had bad experience myself in the past with nice rims. Guy the Gorilla had nothing on that fool. Are the wheels Rota's?

Have you already got the tyres? If not try Event. They're mobile fitters but they do all my cars.
Another company that I have used in the past is Perfection Alloys. They will also look after your wheels.

Kenilworth Garage Services (01926 864418) have done a decent job for me previously. I normally drop them off and collect a couple of days later so they can fit when they have some spare time, keeps the cost to about £20. If you're really worried about them being marked, you could always put a few layers of masking tape round the edge of the rim, just in case.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far guys. Certainly interested in any more too... I work in Coventry so the Kenilworth option might be good. Nope jeffeRS, they're not Rotas

I just use Formula 1 Autocentre, 102 Hillmorton Road, Rugby, Warwickshire CV22 5DQ to put the rubber on my brand new American Racing torq thrusts. They did a great job, no scuffs or scratches and we're genuinely interested in both the alloys and the car they're going on. Ended up having quite a chat with a couple of the guys. Nice bunch of lads.
P.s. when I say "just" I mean last Friday, so very recent.

Nice bunch of lads. I compeltely forgot about them! They're not far from me either. I've had them change tyres for me in the past a couple of times, can't believe I forgot them- I even sent my housemate down there at one point. Silly Frank. Seem to remember there being a nice chap at the desk, showed an interest in the car, had a nice chat etc. Guess Ill head down there then! Out of interest... what will I see rolling around Rugby on Torq Thrusts?

AK Sportscars 427 Cobra replica. It's in the paint shop at the moment, so hopefully it won't be too long before it's ready for the IVA!

I lived in Bromsgrove and Redditch prior to moving down here so came in to this thread to see if it was that part of the Midlands you were after.
I would've said Jefferies Tyres in Bromsgrove but that's a bit of a trek when you've now had some more local suggestions.
