With rather mixed emotions I am advertising my almost immaculate 510. Now that I am returning to the UK (with children) and starting up business again I think it is for the best. Ideally I would like to keep it until RR gathering and looking for a deposit to secure it until then (which may give a broader range of people a chance to get the required funds together). However, if the potential buyer can't wait that long then I would part with it sooner, I have other retros that can go there.
First things first. I imported the car from Malta in 2013 where it had spent it's entire life with an old boy who used it daily and looked after it as ye olde generation tend to. The car is rust and repair free. The interior is completely period with only a Nardi steering wheel been fitted (don't have a picture of it fitted at present).
Boot area is clean, leak free with no signs of previous repairs or corrosion.
When it was delivered, there was a bout of drama and was left in a pub carpark! It seemed to have sustained a small dent on the sill which will be repaired. The metal is solid so will just be pulled out and blown in once the weather is better for painting.
The 510 has some rare extras which I will be fitting and including with the car. These include some pressed metal number plates, 'deluxe' rear garnish which sits between the rear lights and a fender mount wing mirror. Also has a front spoiler/splitter fitted and possibly some Watanabe split rims. (pic of the trim fitted below).
I'm sure there is lots that I've missed. I went to bed thinking about this and have just woken up and written this without so much of a cup of tea. However if there is someone who like me loves these (which I'm sure there is) then it will be enough as they just don't come up for sale, and if they do it's from abroad and they require significant restoration.
The price isn't going to be negotiable. If it doesn't sell I'm not going to lose any sleep. I'm happy to answer any questions and discuss the car in great depth to any genuinely interested folk. Remember this is not just a car, it's a piece of history, a legend and a solid investment for the future.
(the paint has since been removed from the bumpers)
Please keep the thread clean, Thanks.
