The worst episode ever. The 3 cars in top Gear were ruined by them. But I'm curious as to what you would do to modify them? Not into an ambulance but just modified in general.

Its always rubbish . I cant believe they get away with producing the same old format , with us the taxpayer paying for them to smash up cars and genrally go on a jolly somewhere .

I loved the Porsche,seemed a good car before it was ruined. I loved the colour,some lows and nice BBS wheels.

One of the many reasons I found myself turning it off years ago, but particularly thier dislike of British cars.

Actually, I would have fitted a camper interior and a lifting roof to the Scorpio...but would have probably taken out the V6, flogged it and fitted a 2.0i or a 2.5TD

The 944 turbo was a very rare colour. Cashmere brown.
Actually, I used to know the chap that owned that car.

They keep making it because most of us keep watching it. Yes it's gotten worse over the years but there's only so many fresh ideas out there. It's got to be better than Big Brother of Made in Chelsea surely?
I watch it just because it has cars in it, and it's a light hearted laugh. Tell me you didn't laugh at Hammonds Air cannon!?!
Not sure I know what you mean about the hate of British cars though, Hammond owns an E-type, several land rovers and a Morgan, James may is always talking about British Classics, and Clarkson has always said his favorite car was an Eagle speedster!

It's not about that though, is it., It IS NOT a car programme as such, it's an entertainment programme & not just some programme, but the biggest thing on the BBC. It is worth fortunes, if you want a car thing, watch it on YouTube from the 80's when Chris Goffey & Angela Ripon presented it, then you'll know what sh1t is. Best thing on TV |

Top Gear ruin every vehicle they get hold of. People still watch it though!
Can't stand Clarkson with his flip-flopping each week, liking a car one minute, and the next its the worst invention ever, then back to congratulating it.
Hammond has gone too far, and now acts the prat.
James May tries to distance himself by some of the other programs he narrates/makes.
Forget the last time I watched Top Gear to be honest!

It's not that bad. Cars get ruined all the time, intentional or not. I know it annoys some people but it also brings a lot of entertainment to others. If you're sad about the 944 just remember their other one.   |

I always think it's interesting when there accused of ruining cars, many would say that slamming cars/rat looking them or stripping interiors and making race replicas are ruining them. I've seen stuff on here that I'd say is ruined but each to there own and all that.

Negativity can be found all over the internet, Facebook reeks of it if that is your thing. As HW has said before, this isn't a democracy it is a dictatorship of which he is the supreme leader so quite frankly what he says goes. Read the M.O, it is all in there. |

However, TopGear is a topic that has been discussed at length with varying results. Usually it ends up in the majority claiming (as has been said here) that it is a waste of cars/money/primetime TV slots and that the presenters are curse word/out of touch/less than funny. That is all fine but it has next to nothing to do with old cars (generally speaking) and even less to do with our collective take upon bangernomics and generally having fun on a budget. Have a read of the MO if you haven't already (linked by OctagonalPaul /\ up there /\) it will tell you all you need to know |
