Good Buy sir Hollywood has one exactly the same but 2.0l Auto in green with green velour interior Keep telling Stuizz he needs it for his Konig rewinds ;D I'm back on the case now I've retured but Hondas are 4x100 are they not? Konigs are 4x114.3 so that will mean another wheel purchase

Excellent purchase Were there three 2 facelifts of this model, I'm confused? Was xbo11ox's blue Accord the first model, your red one the first facelift and this is the second facelift? Logic doesn't apply when one is dealing with Japanese car makers - what appears to be a faceift could just be a version they built for elsewhere. Potted Accord history: First generation model came as 4dr saloon and 3dr, had twin round headlights and 1.6 only for us. Second generation model as the old Bo11ox 3dr, both saloon and hatch had the same style front end with prominent wraparound indicators Think these also came as 1.6 only. Facelift of above is the model that were both of mine, but they had a slopy front end on the 3dr and no chrome, and a more upright front and lots of chrome on the 4dr (former meant to be sportier version, latter more formal). 1.6 engines on DX models, 1.8 on EX, both 12-valvers IIRC. USA versions of this got different lights, which equated to a Japanese version called Vigor. Third generation is the model I think Dom and Stuyizz are talking about, this is the one that spawned the pop-up headlamp 3dr Aerodeck (itself a nice car) and engines up to 2-litre. I think USA got saloons with the pop-up front. Got family visiting now, but I'll post some pic's later to illustrate the above. Honda are actually fairly sensible and the JDM versions don't do anything too odd. The Galant/Sigma family however is a different matter...

Best get a battery on it and move it out then...... Might even give it a clean and take some pics ready for Photoshopping ;D Glad you had a good trip, I`ll give you a call in the week to catch up Peter says Hi as well

Absolutely awesome purchase! Been thinking about these again recently...
I have driven quite a few miles in a similar second generation one and it was an amazing experience as I actually owned a Mini and Viva at the time.... It was a 1.6 Hondamatic, but had the a/c, cruise, e/w, e/s/r etc etc. That car would have been 15 years old at the time but it was just faultless. The a/c was cold, the cruise control kept me to the speed limits, the "National" tape deck ate my dodgy jungle music cassette.
Anyway top work SL!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Ref the Accord, I'm looking forward to getting that and I can see a mini J look/ euro cross over coming on!! Take a look at what the Americans are doing with them too, remember Accord is a big seller there. Did you see any/many examples of the Japanese take on USDM stuff?

We saw a few examples of the "Nascar" style at HotOlds applied to 60s Jtin which will be in a gallery soon and I spoted a few of those new Hiace vans lowered on black steels which I failed to capture!! I did get a very cool "veg van" Hiace though which will be online soon.
