A solid car that I'd planned to save but creating a hot rod seemed a good idea too. Changing circumstances means it could be a nice project to restore or for you to use as a good donor. 3 litre Essex V6 Engine shows 46068 miles and runs well with a separate fuel supply, has good oil pressure and sounds sweet without tapping or other unwanted noises. Tubular exhaust manifolds and a part stainless steel exhaust are fitted.
The interior is very nice with the classically styled bucket seats. Dash clocks, and toggle switches are all good. All glass is fine and the chrome work, badges, lights etc are present though some aren't fitted. I haven’t tested the electrics. I notice there is some corrosion on the chassis outriggers in the usual place where they all go.
There’s no room in the storage yard to drive it so I don’t know the condition of the gearbox or overdrive. The previous seller told me it was all fine, I took him at his word and arranged for it to be collected sight unseen. It will roll onto your trailer to take away.
The engine, gearbox with overdrive and Jag type back axle must be worth more than the asking price if you plan to use them in something else.
