Just bought a Vitara soft top seeing as we're having some good weather lately. It needs cleaning up and a bit of TLC but all in all not a bad little motor. The stickers and stuff are going and a bit of a polish up on the wheels but I fancy doing something a little different with it without going overboard money wise. Easy to lower? Stretched low profiles? Camo colours? Ideas please. P-chop gurus feel free to show me what you think works Here's the car when going to pick it up...

what suspension setup on these? Coils all round? I agree that's ripe for the treatment - nato green, stretch (less et or spacers first though), but with matt black rims.

I agree. Altitude is the way forward. 2" lift, lose the steps, rock guards, knobbly tyres. then have some FUN!

Yeah! Altitude and attitude! Jacked up, big knobbly tyres, remove bumpers n' side skirts and add BFO pedestrian-squishing bull bar! Add some camo paint FTW

Agreed with the above, I hate those 'wide-boy' lowered Vitaras. What's the point of having a low-range box and 4wd and not making the most of it?

Anti-slam!
Raise it up as high as it'll go, and lose the steps as said. Even cut off the bottom of the bumpers like they do with Discos. Put a snorkel on it, rip off the wheelarch trims. Don't worry about a 'look' or trying to fit in, just enjoy it. The first few times you topple sideways off a slope into a tree, or scrape under a branch you thought was higher than that, will create your 'look'.

Hmmm. I'm not really a lover of off roading and jack up kits. I'll give it a clean up and have a rethink. oooh, daddy say HELL-OH do that then.

Slam FTW! I have some 15x8.5J deep dish split rims off a Fat Boy Vitara that will suit it down to the ground if your interested Stretch on some 175 50's and it will be perfect!

Check rear Brake pipies! Sorry to go a little off topic with regards ideas for your 'Suzi' but these Vitara's were suffering carroded rear brake pipes when only seven year old approx even in dry climates such as southern Spain (where a lot were used as Hire cars). Also check rear of sill to rear wheel arch section; it's starting to become a rot problem (but more so on the 4 dooor hard tops).

an idea? think you found the ones I like already lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider, lowrider! I have a pic of a seriously pimp, almost euro, SJ410 in the states on 10x15" rims with streched BFgoodriches on. flipped axles and 3"de-arched leafs, with a bikini top! would work so well on a vitara too. FTW
