Nice! Things to check on that are rocker cover gaskets, and the viscous fan bearing. This is a 4.2 but will give you an idea of what to expect.

Rocker covers will be coming off anyway for painting, I have the plastic covers but have no intention of refitting them. The viscous fan feels good, that's also staying as it should give a little constant airflow in the engine bay before the temps rise and the intended twin electric fans would cut in. The aircon pump needs to be lost, and maybe moving the alternator up a bit so some re-routing will be required on the auxilary belt. One of the inlet manifold flap actuators has broken so another will need to be sourced. It's also got variable valve timing, so I need to do some reading up on that to see if/how it can be controlled/disabled. That leaves splitting the engine from the slushbox to see what crankshaft is fitted, I have a feeling it's an 8 bolt so sourcing a manual flywheel should be a bit easier than the 10 bolt crankshafts. The engine came with loom and ecu's, I believe they should be coded to an immobiliser but the plan is simple Megasquirt so it will be boxed away 'just in case'
