just wondering really. I know the dub folks swap other lumps of the marque in (which is always of interest), but has anything else been done? I mean, imagine a fiesta with the front clip from an sri160 vectra. or a fiat panda with the engine from a saxo VTS. I know that FWDs aren't "real mans cars" . but hell, I no longer care about the drive layout too much, if its fun and flies I'm for it ;D not much sideways, but then you know the old RWD adage "foot down, ar$e out, pulled over, banged up" so who's got something interesting to show the group? or is fwd to new and fangled for here?

now thats suitably obscure! oh yes! isn't it the one that was in PPC and the bonnet bulge was GRP simply laid over the plenum? there was a black clubby v8 in norway or something, with the engine over one side with (i assume) a conventional FWD 'box. it strikes me that a million and one RWD conversions have been done, but not too many FWDs. a way forward for individuality? hang on, an idea........ CRX vtec in a renault five! I've got to leave this cider alone.........

I must admit I have been quite interested in the idea of Integra Type-R engines in smaller Hondas!

Fiat Punto GT Turbo-powered Panda? I'd love to see that done! There have been a few Justys converted to boxer aspirated and n/a engines, but they're quite a ballache to get right given the configuration is completely different.

I reckon a Punto Turbo Panda could be done quite easily - it's an evolution of the SOHC in the Uno Turbo as I recall, and there's bound to be an Uno Turbo Panda somewhere.

Watch this space Hollywoods Panda, currently running the 1242 bigger FiRE motor that we swapped in, is about to get an Uno Turbo lump as the chassis is now so well sorted it needs more power ;D Caged, Sparco/Bilstien suspension and Sticky Toyos on Uno Turbo speedlines Oh and twin Sunroof "Colour" base model to boot Oh and his Subaru Justy is about to get a Swift GTI engine when we can find one cheap enough ;D

Is that into a Mk3 (Swift-based) Justy? That could work pretty well with the full-time AWD and some tuning.

Quality, please post some pics when it's finished. I wonder if I could cobble the turbocharger or whole engine from a Daihatsu GTTi into my Mk2 3-cylinder.

punto turbo engine don't fit very easily in pandas or cinquacentos.but the 1.3 punto engine drops straight into a cinq and shud go into a panda.

It does, well the 1242 FiRE engine does because we`ve done it ;o)
Uno Turbo is next
Was also Considering 16v FiRE on TB`s but Uno-T was arguably "Easier" especially when the engine came up at the right price

it wud prob fit the panda easier since its got bigger bonnet space.i wanted to drop one in a cinq or even better a lancia engine.but time and money and things and iv got 2 other projects on the go at the min.

I liked the idea putting a 2.0 Zetec in a Kia Pride.... been done a few times according to my googlings! Swaps straight in apparently as the Kia was also badged as a Ford something-or-other in the states and used a duratec motor iirc I evisage the above convesion with a mahoosive drop, banded out steels and stretched tyres.... whitewalls, naturally!

Hmm, I've been pondering the possibilites of a Flat 4 Subaru FWD set up in place of a certain V4 It'll never happen though
