My current road going toy is my Mk1 Cortina 4 door.
The Cortina has the following spec:
1800 Zetec
130 RS1800 Cams
Ashley RWD exhaust manifold
fully refurbed 45's
new linkeage kit
GEMS 3D ECU - not yet mapped correctly
milton coilovers up front
adjustable TCA's
adjustable dapers rear
vented disks up front
braided brake hoses
facet red fuel pump
filter king regulator
9" RS drums on rear - brand new
3:77 LSD ATB
Sporting 4 ratio gearbox - newly built
Lotus rear springs - new
hydraulic clutch
Minilites alloys - including spare
Polybushed throughout
new clutch
Alloy bell housing
fully refurbished steering system
new brake lines
new fuel lines
battery relocated to the boot in battery box
new Raceline sump - just had the gaskets/seals replaced
Lotus cortina exhaust system - new
loads more that I've forgot..............
Everything on this car is either new or has been fully refurbished, the car is uber relliable & drives nice @ normal speeds, when you need it to it really kicks . The Tina has been built over a matter of years with no expense being spared thus making the car a truly relliable & excellent driving machine.
The next thing I intended to do was to remove a majority of the running gear then fully refurbish the shell then go at the interior with some nice retro leather seats out of an MG TF or similar.......the car needs taking the next step further, but ut very useale as she is.....the interior is genuine green.
I've seen 130 mph on the Tom Tom & it had a 4 speed box, now has a Type 9 5 speed in her - handles like a dream & sticks like sh1t to a blanket.
Piccies to follow.........I'm struggling with this iPad, but here's a link to my car......
