I've thought long and hard about selling this car as I doubt I'll find another like it, but I have too many projects, and I'll never use and enjoy this car like I should. My loss is definitely someone else's gain.
This Beautiful Jaguar has covered only 74000 miles in its 27 years so is truly a low mileage car, and the overall condition reflects this. Whilst not concours, the gleaming light metallic blue bodywork looks amazing, and barring a few age related marks and the odd chip is good enough to attract admiring looks wherever you go. There cannot be many left in this condition. This XJS also boasts a full service history, right back from it's first MOT, and you can certainly tell it's been cared for. The original Jaguar handbooks and leather pouch are also included with the car.
The underside of the car is as good as the top and recent rust proofing means it will last for years to come. It needs no welding and as far as I can see, it's never had any. The MOT tester commented that it was one of the best he'd seen, and as expected the car passed it's MOT with no advisory's at all. Some more recent work includes Sports steering rack bushes, a new steering rack and track rod ends. No expense has been spared keeping this car in good condition. I recently noticed that the wheels were looking past their best, so all 4 were stripped, powder coated and refitted with matching Pirelli P600 tyres.
The interior of the car is a lovely place to be and apart from some slight wear on the drivers seat piping, is in beautiful condition. The usual Jaguar headlining problem is not present here, no sagging at all. Heated electric seats make it a comfortable and relaxing place to be.
The car starts up from hot or cold perfectly, runs good oil pressure, does not overheat at all in any driving condition and omits no smoke or nasty noises. As you would expect the V12 is as smooth as silk, and the performance is effortless and relentless. You need to expect around 17mpg around town and 25mpg on a long motorway run. The suspension and brakes work perfectly, including the usually troublesome inboard rear handbrake.
I've taken hundreds of photos of this car to demonstrate it's condition, underneath, interior, engine etc, if there is anything you want to see please just ask! A car in this condition, with the history and mileage will only go up in value so it could be a good investment for someone. 12 months MOT means the car is ready to go, and can be used and enjoyed this summer.
