Right then, the time has come to move this on. It belongs to my stepfather and unfortunately neither of us have the time to give it the attention it deserves (too many projects, too little time!).
The car has been in his ownership for around 5 years and has been a great runner. Being Japanese it has a lot of optional electronic extras, air-con, power steering, electronic folding mirrors etc. More importantly it has the 2.0 V6 Mivec DOHC 24v engine which runs beautifully and pulls like a train (200bhp from memory). Unfortunately its been stood for a few months after failing its MOT.
Good points:
Silky smooth tiptronic auto box (oil changes recently)
Everything inside works exactly as it should
Recent front caliper replacement
Recent heater matrix replacement
Recent alternator replacement (a*se of a job!)
Stainless rear twin exhaust backbox
Enkei alloy wheels
Good tread on the two front tyres
Cobra alarm/immobiliser/central locking
Bad points:
No MOT
Drivers seat has the usual bolster wear
The odd rust scab on the front arches
Rust starting to show on both front suspension turrets
Paint a little faded in places from sun oxidation but polishes up well
Oil weap from what looks like the rocker cover (will need proper investigation)
Rear anti roll bar bushes could ideally do with replacement
What it’ll need for an MOT:
2x rear tyres
Probably the rear anti roll bar bushes (was an advisory so just being honest)
Front suspension turrets patched
All in all the car is a rough diamond at the moment and needs a little TLC to bring it back up to scratch. The important and expensive bits have been done, the engine and box are great and the car has some nice optional import extras being a top spec model. With a low slung driving position its a great cruiser.
Please note the double din radio is NOT included, the original Mitsubishi one will be there instead.
Obviously the car will need trailering away unless you were to drive it to an MOT/place of repair. As its been sat I would advise a check over the brakes etc for safety.
