OK, good show this evening! Supercar bonanza was pretty cool, even though these motors usually don't do much for me....
The best bit for me though, was seeing them drive the new Focus (if thats what it was - it's so bland!) down my FAVOURITE road: it's a quiet country road that runs between Old Warden (nr Shuttleworth) and Cardington down the back of those Mahooosive hangers.
Hammond should have given it some curse word down there: It's the best driving road EVER: 3 miles of gently curving (but pretty narrow and bumpy) road that builds your confidence until your cracking 90 along it, before suddenly realising you've got a tight right-left over a bridge right ahead, which is invariably taken sideways! Everyone round here seriously rates that stretch as the dogs danglies!
Them hangars are an amazing bit of engineering: They're so big that it actually rains INDOORS! And to think the local yes men around here want to see them pulled down and replace with a modern factory complex.
