The only downside to posting links is the inability to comment on them after - but I suppose that that only applies to the multiple links above - once you post a solitary link here each week it should be easier to participate.
I'm also surprised that the Chevy has gone and reading the posts about the Jag make me feel like I would have kept it, and moved something else on. The Korando is a wild card though, nobody saw that coming. I'm sure I've never seen one in real life. Any chance of a comparison picture that will clarify what size it is?

Any chance of a comparison picture that will clarify what size it is? Of course you can, here's a foto from Mrs Pistonpoppers instagram feed, taken tonight. I'm guessing you're all pretty aware how big a 2000 Honda CR-V is for comparison. The Daewoo is LARGE! I mean it fills the parking space!

I have No idea why, but i think this truck actually looks pretty cool! I always think trucks should be 5 door tho, but still. Petrol engine might be a bit thirsty towing tho?!

I must admit s1105117 the more I look at the Daewoo, the more I like it, it is kinda ugly, but the drive of the thing is really very nice. Anyhoo, here's todays installment. Episode 86. Ford Scorpio. P373 TGK. (Part 3).I've got to say thanks everyone for being happy to read my blog, the response has been briliant.

Just read your scorpio story. I'd read the others before. I don't have a suitable account to respond to the post directly.
I admire your choice for this car. I myself am a full blown scorpio lover. I've loved the 1985 model, disliked the 93-94 facelift as it had wimpier headlights/indicators and really loved the in some ways crude, yet smooth shape of the 1995 models. I liked it's pompous ass. I had no beef with the froggy lights. You compared them to the imprezza, but back than I linked them to porches as well. Later the lancia thesis I believe almost had the same look. I agree with you, it was just ahead of it's time!
And it's a great drive. I've learned driving in my dads 1987 Mk1, then continued to by wooing my lady in his 1991 mk1 facelift (mainly different grille, still the massive lights). Only to show off with our 1995 dark "aubergine" (is that eggplant) frogeye.
The frogeye was a humble 2.0 16v on lpi. It went like stink even for a 1500kg car. And I loved every minute f it and have many a fond memory of that particular car as well as its predecessors.
For my Granada Coupe I reluctantly killed a 1997 station wagon for its cosworth BOB engine. The greatest engine ever in a big european ford I think.
I think you'd be able to find a bumper in Holland realitively easily. I've got plenty of contacts to ask. I sold mine back then as, well you have noticed, they are rather fragile and in some demand. Let me know if I should ask.
And thanks for creditting the Scorpio with the credit it duely deserves. It is a great car. I can only remember one ducth reporter at the time who was fair to the car and praised it for it's ride and handling and comort. Looks even to some extent haha.

Read the latest instalment as usual :-) I hate that behaviour, friend of the family (i think he is complete c_nt but there we are) was parking his tesla using the stupid auto park and smacked into another car, and just buggered off. No decency. However that is quite a whack! I would have thought other car would have noticeable damage too, maybe it will be spotted. I assume the bumper from an early Mondeo would be useless? The Daewoo is quite a thing, my mate and I are not discussing it at work now haha

If only he had a suitable, large, reliable vehicle that could both carry the family as well as inconspicuously engulfing a bumper on, say, a european roadtrip under the auspices of a family trip with an innocuous little jaunt across some several miles to pick up a piece of hardtoobtanium while "in the area".
But the Isuzolet is now ferrying around half a platoon of rebel armed forces, so I guess he'll just have to join the thousand little pieces back together with evo-stick.

I suspect the bumpers are made of the same grade of plastic as the MK1 & Mk2 Mondeos of the time, and they all seem to be dent magnets.
My old Mk2 Mondeo bumpers were more gaffa tape than bumper by the end, and every panel had some small dent in it somewhere, including the roof!!

Scorpio Ultima’s are a popular choice for banger racers. Might be an idea to put a wanted ad up on a few Banger racing Facebook groups, I bet someone has a bumper somewhere

Isn't there one in the river Kwai? Fresh water as well, unless Top Gear recovered it Joking aside it's what's put me off a mk1 Mondeo, can't do duct tape bumpers, and they're unobtanium now.

Really glad to see an update on this. I'm a long term lurker and occasional poster on here. I'll be following your blog having just spent the last few evenings catching up. I have one complaint on the blog though, and that's that you don't update it often enough... I need SOMETHING to read.

Bu**er that's quite a hit - any wheel / suspension damage? Yeah they must've known they hit it. The wheel looks ok, and it's still sitting in the same place in the arch so hopefully the suspension is fine too! Society really pisses me off sometimes Yep, me too! I would have thought other car would have noticeable damage too, maybe it will be spotted. Funny you should say that... I asked about on the book of faces, and a photo of this freshly damaged Mondeo appeared! By all accounts it happened during the same weekend as my car got damaged! But in all fairness, that could've happened anywhere, it would be nice to be able to measure the wing to see if any of the creases line up with any of my bodywork. Or even see if it's got any green paint on it! I guess he'll just have to join the thousand little pieces back together with evo-stick. It litterally is a thousand little pieces, I reckon it would be easier to stick a windscreen back together! I suspect the bumpers are made of the same grade of plastic as the MK1 & Mk2 Mondeos of the time Yep, it's a pretty poor choice of plastic that Ford made when making the bumpers. Fibreglass would've been better. Whatever the plastic is, there's no flex to it at all! Thanks for the heads up Deathrow I've made a couple of enquiries, but so far nothing has come to fruition yet. I'll be following your blog having just spent the last few evenings catching up. I have one complaint on the blog though, and that's that you don't update it often enough... I need SOMETHING to read. I can't update it more than I do, I don't have that much to talk about! Have you seen?.. This is my other blog I write about cycling. If you're into bicycles have a look, it might be of interest to someone, although if I'm honest very few people read it, some of the posts are actually still in single figures, and the ones that aren't have had for the most part less than 20 reads. I feel the problem is that I never promote it, I'm not on any cycling forums or anything... Maybe I should do something about that! Petrol engine might be a bit thirsty towing tho?! Just for you s1105117 I thought I'd see just how good at towing it is... Episode 88. Daewoo Korando. W412 VLU. (Part 2).

Good to see updates, and while I'd prefer to see them on here, I suppose it's not too bad to link away and then comment here. One thing I'd like to point out, though, is that probably about half of those linked above have an image or two missing from the blog post.
