A bunch of us were going to the Moat House Classic Car Meet near Alcester this evening. In the last two hours we've had about 3" of rain.
???POW!! The Oxford's soaking wet and point-blank refused to start. ???POW!! Max's Hawk's just thrown a fanbelt on the A448 ???POW!! Me Dad's MGB has so much water in the floors he needs a bilge pump.
I give up on the British summer, I'm staying in. :-(

I tried to change the headgasket on the pop last night but the head is rusted on the studs, I had to drill the dizzy screw because it had seized and then it wouldn't budge and the casing and shaft snapped when I tried to tap it free. And it still won't come out and the head is still stuck fast. So it's now scrap.
