Seeing the one of the gas station reminded me of this:  'Gas' by Edward Hopper, 1940 Not strictly Hot Rod Art, but IMO there was no painter who captured the essence of 30's/40's America like he did. More here if anyone's interested www.ibiblio.org/wm/paint/auth/hopper/ |

Not got any Hot Rod art.. yet, have a spray painted canvas of my subaru, and soon the cortina. Oh and going to see Vince Ray's band, The Vincent Razorbacks (june 9th norwich arts centre), which is kiiinda hot rod art  |

We've got a print of that Hopper, currently in the hall.  Also in the hall there's some hot rod/custom drawings done by a friend some years ago, a photo print of Seagraves golden arrow, some of my dad's 60's Brands Hatch photos and a real old Moon Disc in leu of a mirror. Our lounge has a hand finished print of John Cobbs LSR car at Bonneville, a Felix Petrol commision that I got for my 30th (Felix, pocket watch and Bugatti Atlantic) and a huge original 1940's technical drawing of an MG gearbox casting! Spare/work room? Some more car stuff including a huge Lance Sorchick "coupes are not for chickens " print There is some non car stuff too but not much. Hmm, I have an understanding wife don't I  ;D |

David Perry does some cool hotrod photography, more sort of pin-up style stuff I think though. My GF is probably going to get a Vince Ray tattoo, as she's pretty much obsessed with him!
