Well I didn't think I'd ever sell this car, I absolutely love it, but due to it being a bit rusty and me having no inclination whatsoever to fix bodywork (and wanting a mulberry highline) I'm going to hope someone is willing to save it before I strip it for parts. I'l go through the good bits first, then hit you with its faults.
Heated black leather interior in good condition, not ripped, and comfy as you like.
All electrics work, windows (novelty for a mk3), sunroof, mirrors etc.
MFA all in working order and will do 35mpg+ on a run.
Sebring stainless exhaust with a well made de-cat (made by yours truly), cone filter. Engine pulls hard and sounds epic as you should expect.
None crunchy gearbox.

Over the past year off the top of my head I've fitted all new brakes all round (it has the huge 288mm discs up front) and rear wheel bearings,
Heater matrix (NASTY job!),
Full service, leads, and recently the aux belt tensioner failed shredding the belt, so I fitted a brand new belt and tensioner.
Since I moved a few months ago, it is pretty much always in the garage overnight.
Now some bad bits;
Rust. All 4 arches are crusty. Its had a fair bit of welding on the floor previous to me owning it, and those in the know will notice someone in the past has gone to great efforts to make it look like an early spec VR with arch trims to hide said rust. Front wings are shot tbh, although not hard to source in dragon green.
Wants some trackrod ends.
Airbag/ABS light unplugged. This is due to me finding a top glovebox as well as a lower one much more useful than an airbag. Long story but I no longer have the airbag, I do however somewhere have 40p's worth of resistor to shut the light up, never got round to doing it.
Downpipe area blows slightly, has done for the past year, not really bothered me.
Thats about it tbh, I honestly think its worth saving, theres far too many saveable VR's being broken at the minute, and I'd rather this one wasn't.
Have some pics, The recent filthy ones it is on some 16" Borbet split reps, it won't be going on them unless someone makes me an offer I can't refuse, otherwise it'l be on the original BBS wheels as you'l see on the other pics (taken on a trip to the Isle of Man earlier this year), although the tyres are pretty duff, I do have a set of GTI longbeaches with good tyres it can go with too. I'd prefer both sets of wheels to go tbh.
