I'm very reluctantly putting this up for sale as I've seen something else I like, however if that goes then this will be withdrawn from sale. Please read the ad thoroughly and in full and don't be afraid to ask any questions either here or by PM.
1993 BMW 318i Design Edition Convertible (one of approx. 250 in blue / 250 in green so genuinely rare) in stunning Neon blue, standard and unmodified, genuine mileage of 91k backed up by old MOT's and service history, 8 previous owners.
Has MOT until August, has covered less than 1000 miles since the last one. One advisory of slight play in near side outer ball joint.
I've owned it for 3 years and covered around 10,000 miles in that time. I had a local BMW specialist change the timing belt and water pump shortly after I bought it.
Overall in good honest usable condition, well maintained and reliable, its been used for family camping holidays to the Isle of Wight and the New Forest over the past couple of years hence the tow bar. I can remove this for the buyer.
Body work is tidy and straight with the odd age related dink and scratch most notably to the rear right hand corner by the rear light which can be seen on the third picture below. There's a little rust on the leading edge of each rear arch, slight bubbling on the rear valance by the towing eye and a small spot on the boot slam panel above the left hand rear light. Hopefully most of this is clear in the images although I'd strongly recommend viewing.
Roof is in good condition with no holes or tears, rear window is good although would benefit from a renvo polish. I've converted it to operate manually but have retained the electrics for the cover which is operated by an electric window switch fitted in the rear quarter panel where the manual release would be.
I've just fitted another set of original spec BBS that are in very good condition (much better than those in the pictures) and are shod with matching kumho ecstas with over 5mm of tread.
Mechanically its good, the only fault I can think of is a slight juddering occasionally when pulling away. I've learnt to drive around this although both my wife and my father drive the car and never have the problem.
The interior is tidy with minimal wear mainly on the gear knob and drivers side floor mat. The original M-Tec 2 370mm steering wheel and gear knob are both still present. The stereo pictured won't be included but I'm sure I've got something I could fit if needs be.
So there it is, a solid and very presentable car that you shouldn't be afraid to use.
Price is £3300 or incredibly near offer. Please don't waste your time or mine with speculative low offers.
Car is located in south Norfolk, approx 15 miles south of Norwich and viewing is most welcome.
As stated at the beginning of the ad, I'm only advertising this because I've seen something else I like. Financially I don't need to sell so I'm not interested in low ball offers as in my view its priced very fairly.
Please note that pictures were taken last summer. The car has covered around 1500 miles since. I'll try and get some up to date images during the course of this weekend.
