I'm having issues with hydrate 80 that i'm using on the underside of my HB, its being applied as directed, derusted, wirebrushed, sanded, cleaned, panel wiped etc, then on top ive applied Tiger seal to seal the seams, and zink primed, all appeared ok until several weeks later i just happened to pull a edge of tiger seal and the whole length just peeled off with little effort, the sealer just pulls off with the Hydrate 80 and leaves the bare surface whether its rusty or clean. Now i would never have known if i had left it alone, so question; has anyone else experienced problems like this?
cheers Bill

I've not had problems using it personally but I have read of some others suffering from problems. It would appear to be pretty fussy with regards tge application procedure. Did you follow it to the letter and give enough time before overcoating? In lower temps obviously everything will need longer to go off properly. Ask bilt hamber direct, or try their category on Detailing World.

my thoughts are
its a rust convertor so will only work on rusty metal , you sound like youve put it over clean metal as well
no point whatsoever in the zinc primer if its not going onto the bare metal - it cant do its job over other rubbish
i don't like rust convertors and don't really see that they work okay it turns the metal black then scratch it and its still brown rust underneath, i would clean it all up as best as you can , bilt hamber deox gel works well
then once its clean bare metal on with the primer of your choice , i would choose epoxy first , if not that then etch primer
