Hi folks.
I have a hard top which needs some restro. The paint sucks and has few bits of rust.
I know nitromores paint stripper is now next to useless since the contents was made more safe. Who knows of a good stripper? And can she come over tonight?
Umm paint stripper!

Plus I sold my sand blaster kit few weeks back but would have been good on the catches ect.
The hard top is not too bad not now I have removed all the manky seals and the glass is out.

Why? Personally blasted thinner parts, and glass too! Its not an all out, as much pressure as possible proceedure. Care and attention, setting up your kit for the job in hand and using the right media is a start!! Anyway, back on topic, paint stripper. Atlas-T Powder Coat Stripper, it'll take 99% of paint coatings off in one stitting.

If you're definitely using paint stripper then the best/potent one available is methylene chloride (dichloromethane).
It's now banned from being used in paint strippers sold over the counter.
As long as you use it outside or in a well ventilated area with correct equipment it's safe to use, this was the KEY ingredient in old skool paint stripper's and what made them strip paint so well.
You can buy it online and you'll need to thicken it, I used wall paper paste.
