I bought this as a mini clubman estate a few months ago, here I am half way through a little bet of fettling to the brakes , exhaust etc when my dream car comes up for sale. hence this little car is now for sale. Since I have had it I have done away with the perspex rear windows and replaced them with some fibreglass 'van' panels . My plan was to use the car as a van. The original windows (not perspex) will come with the car but are not fitted. The roofrack will not come with the car.. Below is the text from the ebay advert when I bought the car. ..........

..."Hi you are looking at my 1980 Clubman estate, it’s kind of rat look, the engine is 1310 , unleaded seats , big valves , new guides, stem seals, bk 450 head gasket, head has been ported by myself, and balanced the chambers, single springs, metro inlet manifold also ported, +40 pistons, simplex chain , new tensioner, evolution fast road cam correctly timed with offset key, block and head refaced and compression ratio is 9.5-1, all core plugs new inc oil way ones were stripped prior to cleaning, new main and big end bearings, ball bearing pressure relief valve, new oil pump, centre oil pickup, new water pump no bypass, gearbox was good but completely cleaned and checked and new main bearing fitted and also a 2,76 MPI final drive 70mph at 3400 rpm on 10s, every end float has been checked etc, hiff 44 carb rebuilt with new spindle, lcb manifold, Maniflow exhaust,
The sub frames were blasted and powder coated, front and rear drum both rebuilt "drums all round", 6x10 star mag alloys, tyres have tread but are old , front bucket seats, has mot , tow bar, , electric fuel pump , front hi lows , comes with lowered rear cones, the car is being listed as a project as there is still work to do this includes fitting the correct rear sliding glass "included", currently has perspex rear windows, rear seats need fitting "included" , rear door cards, rear bumpers, rear door seals, head lining, dash, group 2 arches "all included", in my view it needs some brakes up for the job, the clock need attention but comes with a box of 2 sets of stripped 1275 gt clocks, I'm sure i have missed loads"
I paid £2.5k for this car, there is no rot on it and many components are so new they still have the stickers on!
This week I will accept £2,200 as I don'y want to miss out on the other car.
