Hi! I need help from someone living in The Netherland or in north Germany. I am very interested in this old Pajero here: www.hofman.nl/auto/11281/Mitsubishi+Pajero+2+3+Turbod+Wagon+4WD/which is located in Rodenburg 1 9351 PV Leek Nederland The dealer is not able to send me current pictures of it nor can he tell me in what condition the chassis is. They are very rustprone to the chassis and body, and all the dealer could tell me is "you see it in the pictures". Is someone located near 9351 PV Leek and could drive there, looking at this car and taking some good pictures of the body and the chassis for me? Of course I am willing to pay for your expenses (fuel) if you go there. Thanks a lot for your help. Lukas

The dealer is not helpful at all and the price is way too high. But I hope after I know about the real condition of the car, I may negotiate the price to a more realistic level. That´s a very early Pajero Mk I that came from Austria originaly, so a very interesting car for my Mk I collection.

Although Leek is relatively close, it's still almost an hours drive. And I've got absolutely no experience on these cars, so I wouldn't be the best guy to ask I'm afraid...

he will negotiate, as he's dutch...
last year they changed tax rules on pre 1987 diesel and LPG cars, making them nearly unsellable in the Netherlands. The dealer might be not very helpfull due too loads of timewasters, did you give him a call or did you contact via email?

I have emailed him. But today, I phoned him and told him in my finest Oxford-english from school that I am really interested in this car because it is a very early Pajero L040 and it´s originally from Austria, so I would like to buy it for a reasonable price. He told me he looked for the papers that came with the car and he discovered that there are no papers, so he is not able to sell the car anymore. Sounds very promising! So viewing the car is not necessary by now. %§&$? Thanks you all for your help! Lukas

Unless you really want this car I would never buy from Hofman as they're a bunch of bastards who don't like people knowing a thing or two about cars. They rather sell their scrap to the loaded because they'll simply pay for repairs or restorations instead of coming back complaining.

I'm living very nearby Leek but never heard any good from this car dealer. Therefore i'm not really comfortable taking a look since i'm not a master in car mechanics and surely will miss things.

he will negotiate, as he's dutch... Can't be Dutch, going by the bad reports and bad attitudes! As far as I know and have experienced, it is not possible for Dutch people to do those things...

He's probably sold off all of his old diesels to Africa to get rid of them as they have become worthless here since tax has changed on them.
But what are you looking for exactly?
