Wow, great saves! These Pajeros scream the 80s to me. I looked at a SWB commercial late last year and it was pure crust underneath so you've done really well here. I 've always thought the gauges are great on these, they have an old aviation look to them, something that has been popping up on more and more hot rods recently.
Plus that interior looks like it has been carved out of a solid block of Caramac!

Great pictures, good to see someone is loving the Mk I as much as I do!
If you decide on breaking the not-so-good-one, let me know as I would take some parts.

I've done 4 of those alternators this year, they never get much easier to swap!
Good save!

I drove one of these up to the Lake District from South London a few years back. The shocks were on their way out so I was hacking away at the wheel the whole time but it was a great car once my mate sorted those. All grab handles and compasses in the dash and what not.
Top find there fella - I kinda want one now...

Porsche 924 - gone Citroen Saxo VTR - not very retro but I loved it - now gone... MK4 Golf GTi 1.8T - gone but hardly remembered... Mini Cooper S R53 - gone BMW 125d Coupe - gone (mostly sideways)
Ford Focus RS Mk1 - hello low MPGs and "wanna race me" at every set of lights... 1973 BMW 2002 - Twin 40's, 284 Cam, Revolutions, E21 Recaros + more Porsche Cayman 987 3.4S - here and due to cost me more money than I have

Another fine example of how RR threads can make you look at a car that you've noticed before. Especially following the deep clean. Love the interior front with the crazy passenger grab rail.

Good save. I was always more partial to the bum-basic models with no add ons myself, really shows off how nice a shape the are! But then they don't have all the toys

Thanks for the kind words on the motor, it is 80's tastic and I love it! Obligitory side by side photo: Just trying to get around to fitted the new alternator in between work, probably Monday now though to be fair :-( I'm going to swap out the steering wheel for the original one from the rotter, just trying to make my mind up on the bull bar whether swap that too. On the one hand its wraps around and looks the biz, but on the other hand there are a few dents on it so the jury is out at the minute! This is going up for sale, either as an off roader, parts car or a resto if you fancy a challenge or your brave!
