Its probably going to take a few attempts to get a good selection of my photos up here from this event but then it was last June so yeah, whatever.
First time visit to the Silverstone Classic for us. First impressions where a bit annoying as we had to walk miles round the outside of the circuit from where we'd parked as we needed to find a ticket office that would take/print out internet confirmation do-dahs. Did get a couple of spots on the way round though.
Holy moley. This made the most wonderful racket.
Finally we were in and started wandering around the club areas. Looking at the timetable the races I wanted to watch were all in the afternoon so we planned to look at static stuff first and then make our way somewhere to watch later on.
There was a fab line up of Berkeleys with both three and four wheel examples.
This looked like a later motorbike engine swap. Love the Weber
Ickle_Seth was rather overjoyed when a chap I know from the Ace Cafe meets let her sit in his Frogeye and rev it up.
Stunning examples of stunning cars all over the shop.
The Porsche OC stand was humunous, though mostly packed with moderns which I ignored.
I think this was the sole 914
Further on in to the infiled were Morgans...
Astons
and Lancias.
And a gazillion Ferraris of all sorts.
BB was my teenage favourite before the F40.
Four big engined ISOs parked together.
Lamborghinis
This was where the Jota we watched driving in called home for the day.
And still the club areas continued.
Eventually we made it to the old paddock that is alongside the original start/finish straight.
By now it was lunch time so we took a break and watched some of the parade laps, including a bunch of historic F1s but being on the inside of Stowe the view was pretty rubbish and the fence so high that photography was pointless.
After lunch we headed up towards the Becketts complex where there was apparently a bus service to the new 'Wing' paddock complex, though we came across the BMWs on the way there.
Post lunch action shots to come....
