Just stumbled across this site: Car Bibles - clicky clickySome excellent diagrams and explanations for the novice tinkerer. Still had enough techie stuff to keep me interested (though I was searching for the optimum nose angle for an AE86 diff' and what's the length of a factory AE86 Panhard rod ......... which it didn't answer ). Thought some of you might find it useful/interesting/educational. Enjoy.

Had it bookmarked for a long time, its a really good sight. Ask Hirst about the measurement for the panhard rod as its the same on his charmant. I used a charmant one on my 86 after bending the standard one after I had made some nylon bushes for it.
Just curious but why do you need the nose angle for the AE86 diff?

Yeah, I refer to the tyre and wheel one quite often. Some really handy tools in there.

oops - I've missed those posts! I do have an excuse though - I'm spending far to much time in the garage trying to finish the Celica for RR07! which leads me nicely in to....... Not to much info' on my TA40 out there, so alot of my suspension stuff is based on the AE86 as it used the same (ish) T series rear axle. Just converted the rear end to adjustable spring plates so I can use 'proper' springs. I'm just about to order a set of adjustable top and bottom trailing arms and an adjustable Panhard rod - combine this with a low ride height, custom 1 piece prop' and a different driveline angle, I was just researching info' on the optimum static diff angle. standard spring: cut hole: weld pipe: fit adjusters: check fit and drink beer: WOW I hijacked my own thread ;D
