I have for sale a really lovely E36 BMW 318i. Need a quick sale to buy something else I have set my heart on.
In excellent original condition, used everyday and garaged overnight.
Only selling as I would like a change.
11 Months MOT and current tax although under the new rules this cant be sold with the car.
Lots of history including original service book with BMW stamps and receipts up to 2009 and then regular receipted bills and services after that by independent garages.
You can tell the car has been very well looked after all its like. Interior seats, carpets, original BMW mats and all trim are immaculate. Only the drivers overmat could do with a light valet.
The car has what must be original paint is it is ultra glossy as you can see in the images and shows only very light marks or minor stone chips but only visible under very close inspection.
Not many basic model E36's survive in this kind of condition as many would have been high miler company cars and not looked after. This must be one of the best survivors still in regular daily use.
Drives very well free from knocks, bangs wheel wobbles etc and pulls very well, handles as it should.
Interesting number plate if you are called Lee (as I am) L331 LPY is almost Lee if you squint!
Plenty of little jobs taken care of recently. New oil, air filter, oil change, spark plugs, fuel gauge repaired, coolant flush and thermostat replacement, front brake pipes, front anti roll bar drop links all done within last 500 miles.
I bought the car on a work trip in London. I drove it back home to the North East and found to my surprise that the history sold it was sold by a local BMW dealer in Sunderland (Mill BMW) and lived most of its life 5 miles from my house. Still bears the original BMW Mill Garages dealer sticker.
In my opinion E36's are a future classic and will appreciated rapidly in price in a few years comparable with prices now being asked for E30's.
The care is 20 years old so please expect some minor wear and tear.
There are a couple of small issues to work on and for the buyer to be aware of.
If keeping it I would replace the exhaust rear section. Looking a bit crusty and slightly raspey when the car is cold. Not noted as an advisory however on the recent MOT
ABS light is on but breaking not affected at all other than ABS disabled. Suspected sensor fault which I was intending to get my local garage to take a look at soon
Small amount of minor rust bubbling around drivers side rear arch. Paint not broken, Not got worse in my ownership would cost peanuts to tidy up if you wanted this car perfect as it almost is.
I love old german cars from 80's and 90's and only want to move this one so I can get the funds to try something else.
I'd be interested what you have to offer for swaps under ebay rules e.g. 924's, E30's, MK2 Golf's etc but must be driveable, reliable cars with MOT.
Don't mind texts and phone calls with offers and to discuss the car and viewing is welcome pretty much any time.
