Well at the min it is running XR2 everything. I am on the lookout for a 130hp escort cab if I can find one at the right price but it goes ok as it is. It is ideal to convert though. I built it about 6 years ago and as usual I sold it just after finishing it. I enjoy the projects and as I was driving for a living I had no use for it so it went as did the zetec escort. Now I have a different job I can have something like this for a daily. Damm I should have kept that mk4 escort. Mind you this Fiesta was as mint as the escort when I sold it.

I can get pattern wings local for £44 so i am out on that link. I am on there and resurected my thread from when I built it. I like his zetec mount but I am jumping the gun and it would be lazy to buy his instead of modding my own.

I thought the seller was playing games with me when he said someone else was interested. I think what clintched the deal was that I told him all about it and I knew all about it when I phoned him which made him see that I was telling the truth that I had built it to start with as the guy I sold it to who in turn sold it to the guy I got back from had told him he had built it! It was mint when I sold it back in 2008 but 2 reckless owners since has taken its toll tbh but it will be back to something like its best soon.
I don't think he really wanted to sell it but he was skint and needed money for xmas. . The rear of the sills needed work both sides inner and outer but apart from that it would have probably passed an MOT the rest is cosmetic undoing the last 6 years of careless driving and neglect. To be fair though it was cheap and would break for more than I paid. He paid some so called pro's to roll and stretch the arches to cover the poke on the starmags which is a joke of a job I could have done better with a hammer.

I thought the same about the arches mate, they looked a bit rough in the pictures and you could tell it had sat for a good while, but for £500 I wasn't about to grumble, I was literally about to go buy it when I got the phone call saying it had gone, and I'm still on the look out for one now haha, currently got a 1.1 festival XR2 replica running 2.0 Zetec but needs a full respray, I'm just looking for a small project now a nice clean shell to start with that doesn't need a respray etc, I've had my big projects and just want a smaller one now?

I am not grumbling at the price, my only grumble is the mistreatment, as if it had been in the same condition as when I had sold it I would have happly paid trebble the price. They are hard to find at a decent price now though and finding parts for them has got a whole lot more difficult since 2008. However back in 08 when I did this I had 99% of the bits and it was roughly 2004 I collected the bits to convert the original one I had and you could get the bits easy. I brought a complete rotten xr2 with MOT and Tax for £200 to break for the running gear. Back on to the parts wanted. I need a battery tray, magnum make them but are out of stock and I have got to wait till they press some more. Not much good as I am waiting on it to finish the welding. So has anyone got one lying about or know of a someone that keeps them in stock? I have got the rest of the parts in the list above I just need; A battery tray A radiator

Haven't got the parts unfortunately, well I've got a rad but need it for the Zetec conversion on mine, managed to pick one up for £300 which is completely solid it's as it left the factory, 43k one owner from new, bought it from an old lad who didn't realise what he had, thrown him an extra £50 as I felt like at £250 I wouldve been taking the piddle a little and he was genuinely a lovely man, invited me in for a cuppa whilst he sorted the paper work and all original books, the spare key is even still in it's case! Anyhow mate I look forward to seeing the finished product
