Probably a simple question, I'm looking for a small discrete crank sensor, one that hopefully I can hide from view, so, smaller the better, any suggestions??

Maybe look at motorbike items as they are generally smaller than car items

I want to run a 36-1 wheel and NODIZ, I have a strange feeling that a hall sensor wont work,

I guess the engine in question never used a crank sensor ever?
pug sensors are fairly small, especially later ones without a fly lead, not that ive ever noticed much of a difference in sizes.

The engine later engine I believe has a suitable flywheel but it doesn't fit inside my bell housing, I'm thinking of putting a stepped wheel on the timing belt pulley and use it as the belt keep,

I have done a bit more research, its a 2 wire VR type sensor that I need, not a Hall effect.

Thanks for the offer, I have a toothed wheel, and the engine is a Toyota4age, Still looking, but, something crossed my mind this morning, ---- would a 2 wire anti lock brake sensor work, they are VR sensors too.
