	First of all let me apologise for there not being any pictures on this thread as of yet... The purpose of this is to see if we (I say 'we' but I doubt I will be up to the task!) can come up with something so I am sure some lovely pic's will follow at some point...!!! Over the years we've seen the re-birth of the Mini, the Beetle and the Fiat 500 amongst a few others... They are all pumped up, bloated re-imaginings of their originals and you can instantly tell their lineage even at a glance... I have always wondered what we'd see if the Morris Minor went the same way as those previously mentioned?! It is an iconic car that really looked like nothing else, it is a Morris Minor and that is all it could ever be... So, what about one for the 21st Century...?! Can any of you super talented people out there pen the Morris Minor of the present day? Dare you give it a go?! I suppose we need a standard saloon, a traveller and a convertible version to make a whole range... I know this isn't strictly retro but its parentage is and it'd be interesting to see what comes out of this... Right then talented people of the world, it's over to you to re-imagine an automotive classic...

	It already exists and rolls out of Cowley. MINI is more Minor than Mini seeing that they make them in 2door, 4door, Convertible, estate and LCV. I was parked next to one a few months ago and there are so many touches like the sausage the roof meets the body that are pure moggy. If the marketeers hadn't pigeonholed themselves they could have expanded the range to include the Minor & Maxi names.

	I thought a Minor style vehicle based on Rover 25 floorpan was a idea that Rover were considering before the collapse of the company

	Actually when the BMW Mini was first released someone asked me to design my idea of what a modern Minor would look like. Of course that was when Rover was still a going concern. I'm not sure who if anyone owns the rights to the name these days or whether such a car would have a global appeal (beyond Britain)l in the same way that the Mini and Beetle do. I can't find a copy of it now but you've got me kind of wondering. If i get a spare moment after the 25th I may sketch an other one and post it up.
