I have a mini Cooper 1997 13I with sports pack archers,she is British racing green,has lots of history lots been spent on it in the past.
Has spax coil over suspension,dtm stainless steal exhaust,13'' mini light alloy wheels.
Body work is tatty on front scuttle panel,has has drivers side A panel and repairs to front floors and boot area.
Been using it as a daily at the moment.
Can whatsapp any pics if needed until l l can post pics
Has 10 months m.o.t

whats the mileage on this mate?
You mention the body work is tatty, is it just paint wise?
And the a panel and floors, have they been repaired or need repairing?

Mileage is 120,A panel has been replaced and floors repaired,no not just need painting,repair or replacement just depends on how far you want to go with it,scuttle panel has been repaired in the past.its had sill replaced in the past as well.

I went to look at this a few weeks ago,
First of all I'd like to apologise for this however I do not feel you have described it fairly and after I took a day to come and look at it would say that you need to include this valuble information.
It will want; new inner sills, floor pan, front wings, front panel, flitch panel repairs, scuttle and suspension... and then interior sorting out...
It runs okay and seemed to drive fine but it was way too much work to get myself involved with.
I think possibly some better pictures would be helpful as I did not expect the front panel to be quite so bad, and the drivers wing also has a chunk missing out of it.
Then I ventured inside to see that the outer sills have been welded over the existing sills and inner sills which I was able to poke my finger through.
On close inspection too the coilover suspension has sagged to a point where the coils are all touching and it no longer has any form of suspension.
The front panel is completely rotten even to the point where the spotlights have fallen off and left holes, I would say that the teardrop muntings are probably unsafe too.
I understand that it's a classic car that would need workbut there was no mention if this in the advert or correspondence, I wouldn't have done a 150 mile round trip If I had known.
I'm not trying to be a pain but I wouldn't advertise the car as 'roadworthy' with the amount of work that it needs.

That evaluation you gave could go either way. Yes, you felt you needed to point out a few things that the seller omitted, but it also came across a bit 'sour grapes'
If a car is not as described fine, tell the seller and argue it out via PM or face to face. But did we really need to know that you spent a day and travelled 150 miles in a round trip?
