I'm selling my 200TE S124 as I haven't got the time to finish the restoration and put it back on the road.
The car: it's a 1991 S124 200TE, with the later 16v 2.0 engine retrofitted. It had a serious amount (£4-5k) spent on the bodywork by the previous owner, including a major strip down and repaint in Smoke Silver. I put it in for MoT a month ago and it failed on track rod ends, a bush, a minor power steering leak and a couple of bits of welding underneath. I had the welding done but thanks to starting a new job I've been short of time and funds so I returned the car to its storage place and haven't been able to progress the other repairs.
It does drive very well - if you have access to trade plates it'll drive to wherever you want to go, otherwise it'll need trailering due to no MoT. I can arrange to drop the car at the garage that did the MoT and have the repairs done and re-MoT'd if necessary.
It has some service history (including receipts for what was spent by the previous owner and myself), and has a cream leather interior. Tyres are in very good condition.
Pictures:
I'll get some more pictures sorted this weekend.
Given the small amount of work needed and reflecting the money spent so far £595 seems a fair price.
I do also have my W220 S-class for sale (though not on here as it's too new), so if that sells I'll hopefully be able to reconsider selling this one.
